The Fur, Fish, Flea and Beagle Club

What happens when a couple of young boys find themselves thrust into the working world of men?  They grow up.  Because they must.

In the summer of 1936 Jamie Garrath and Ned Custis go to work in Jamie’s father’s sawmill in the rural South.  They are only fourteen, but must deal with the flaws and virtues of grown men and learn to distinguish between the two.   They also learn that they are stronger than they ever imagined they could be, and, with a little luck, deal with it all.
